What does CPC training include?
The initial CPC training is known as Module 4 CPC and is split into two parts, a case study theory test and a walk round practical. The Module 4 CPC is aimed at drivers who gained their vocational licence after the DCPC was introduced in 2009. Periodic CPC training is very similar in content and both training courses include:
Preparation Training for the Case Study
A Case Study theory test, made up of different scenarios followed by multiple choice questions
A practical walk around test lasting 30 minutes in the test centre where the applicant demonstrates their knowledge of the vehicle and may need to demonstrate how to secure goods using straps, chains and a tensioning bar
